SEMRC LCRRC BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! PDF Print E-mail

 PHOENIX RACING 2008

The combined championships of the LCRRC are pleased to announce the dates for 2008, which you will see immediately are combined in all instances. The net result of this should be bigger and more competetive grids for all classes and financial stability for the sport.

Co-operation and streamlining are the way forward, by combining resources, the club now has it's own dedicated timing system for ALL classes/championships, more staff than it has ever had, to make for even smoother running of the meeting on the day and more variety than ever in terms of rider choice.

Senior mini moto riders will see that the North of England Championship is back, on top of this, SEMRC and North of Enlgand riders can compete in a national championship, running alongside the existing British Pit Bike Championships & British GP70 Championship [as well as the Conti Cup UK], by simply paying a small fee and attending 2-3 extra rounds, as well as their "regional" championship.

Travel for many is not appealing, the return of dedicated "regions" is to reduce travel time/costs for those who only want to do the "local" stuff, whilst at the same time, for those dedicated to a national championship, extra travel will be minimal.

One of the clubs strengths has always been it's paddock, yes, you the rider. A pleasant, politics free paddock makes for a pleasant weekend, and this is such a combined effort, that we hope to prove that co-operation and harmony is the way forward.

As well as co-operation within for race organisation, Lucky Devils have taken over the Jawa importership, Conti are now dealing directly with the public, and for the first time, will be in the paddock. The Conti School is coming to the UK for the first time [August] and we have not only the organisers but now manufacturers working hard for the benefit of young riders, in addition to this, we have one of the UK's top teams alkso working closely with the paddock, who amongst other things, will be running bike set up seminars, etc, throughout the year. The LCRRC pioneered MiniGP racing, and has taken it to, quote, "the next level". It of course goes without saying, if you want to be "noticed"....you have to be there. Our record of turning out talented young riders is second to none, and things just got better!
